Hillsbrad Foothills

Hillsbrad Foothills is a green, fertile region that represents the last pastoral bastion of the fallen kingdom of Lordaeron. Despite having largely escaped the Scourge's plague, the land is torn apart by brutal open war between the humans of Southshore and the Forsaken entrenched at Tarren Mill. It serves as a violent crossroads where the armies of the Alliance and the Horde clash without mercy.

While northern Lordaeron rots under the blight of the Scourge, Hillsbrad remains strikingly green. Its rolling pastures, pine groves, and working farmsteads offer travelers a rare glimpse of what the kingdom looked like before the Third War. Yet that tranquil appearance is deceptive. The peaceful fields and rural roads are constantly swept by armed patrols, rogue mercenaries, and scavenger beasts. What should be Lordaeron's breadbasket has instead become its most contested borderland.
