Elixir of Suffering
The Elixir of Suffering is an alchemical concoction brewed by Apothecary Lydon in Tarren Mill. Developed under the orders of the Royal Apothecary Society, the draught is an experimental step toward a virulent plague intended to eradicate both living humans and the Scourge.
Apothecary Experimentation
Within the ruined hamlet of Tarren Mill, Apothecary Lydon tirelessly combines raw reagents gathered from the surrounding wilderness into toxic draughts. The Elixir of Suffering represents an early milestone in the Royal Apothecary Society's overarching mandate: formulating a new plague designed to exterminate the living and dead alike. Lydon tests the lethal brew on his unfortunate assistant, a frog named Umpi, to ensure its potency.
