Worn Stone Token
Worn Stone Tokens are small magical talismans carried by personnel and mages associated with Dalaran in the Alterac Mountains. Though their ambient magic has largely faded, they were crafted to help the Kirin Tor bind and command elemental servants.
Tokens of Elemental Mastery
The magi of Dalaran have long possessed a formidable command over elemental entities, using specialized talismans to bend these extradimensional beings to their will. Worn Stone Tokens represent depleted or exhausted versions of these implements. Carried not only by theurgists and summoners but even by Dalaran laborers and guards stationed around the ruins and internment camps of Alterac, they demonstrate how deeply elemental binding is integrated into Dalaran's everyday operations.
Forsaken Curiosity
From their outpost in Tarren Mill, the Forsaken keep a watchful eye on the nearby wizards. Magus Voidglare sought specimens of these tokens to decipher Dalaran's methods of elemental enslavement. Keeper Bel'varil directs agents to collect worn, inert tokens first, allowing the Magus to safely analyze the foundational enchanting techniques before experimenting with more potent, volatile conduits.
