Reagent of the Hills
The highlands and foothills flanking Hillsbrad and Alterac are prowled by feral and starving mountain lions. While ordinary hunters seek these predators for their pelts and claws, the Forsaken of the Royal Apothecary Society find value in what pumps through their veins. Fresh mountain lion blood possesses specific biological properties that Apothecary Lydon in Tarren Mill believes will serve as the base for a potent new toxic brew designed to bring misery to the living.
Fueling the New Plague
Apothecary Lydon's experiments in Tarren Mill contribute directly to the Royal Apothecary Society's overarching mandate: perfecting the Forsaken's New Plague. By harvesting the blood of vigorous wild beasts, Lydon seeks to refine a concoction he calls the Elixir of Pain, testing how potent local organic compounds can be weaponized against the enemies of the Dark Lady.
