Stormpike Banner
The Stormpike Banner is a military standard hidden deep within the treacherous Icewing Cavern in Alterac Valley. Alliance recruits must brave wild harpies to recover it as an initiation trial, proving they are worthy to wear the Stormpike insignia.
A Rite of Induction
To officially join the ranks of the Stormpike expedition in Alterac Valley, prospective recruits must prove their mettle before they ever clash with the Frostwolf orcs. Lieutenant Haggerdin sends newly arrived Alliance soldiers into the Icewing Caverns, situated southwest of Dun Baldar. Planted deep inside this frozen subterranean den, the Stormpike Banner serves as a testing ground: anyone brave enough to brave the native harpies, seize the standard, and bring it back alive earns the rank and insignia of an initiate in the Stormpike Guard.
