Purgation Isle
Purgation Isle is a spiraling, rocky island lying off the southern coast of the Hillsbrad Foothills. Crowned with a cemetery and a ruined scout tower, the desolate rock is cursed and swarming with the restless, condemned spirits of fallen humans and dwarves.
A Haunted Sanctuary
Rising abruptly from the sea south of Hillsbrad, Purgation Isle is a grim sight marked by winding paths that lead past tombstones to an abandoned watchtower. No living nation claims it today. Instead, the isle is plagued by condemned souls—former paladins, priests, mages, and judges who wander among the graves, unable to find peace in death.
Dark Associations
The lingering souls trapped upon the island have made it a site of sinister interest. Dark spellcasters, such as the ogre necromancer Kormok, are said to have delighted in drawing upon the island's anguished dead, summoning forth its spirits to do their bidding.
