Growless Cave
Growless Cave is a frigid cavern carved into the crags of the Alterac Mountains, overrun by ferocious mountain yetis. It is best known as the resting place of the Flame of Uzel, an unholy ceremonial pyre tied to the dark necromancy of Helcular.
A Den of Beasts and Dark Magic
Tucked away in the snow-dusted heights overlooking the foothills, Growless Cave serves primarily as a den for the territorial mountain yetis that roam Alterac. Travelers navigating the treacherous slopes often steer clear of its mouth, especially when the notorious yeti Skhowl is sighted prowling outside. Beyond the primal danger of the beasts, the cave harbors a sinister past: inside lies the Flame of Uzel, an arcane brazier left behind by the ambitious human mage Helcular. Before his demise, Helcular intended to use the pyre in a dark ritual to achieve lichdom, and its foul warmth once drew the massive predator Frostmaw out from the frozen wastes.
