Vanndar Stormpike

A veteran mountain king of Ironforge, Vanndar Stormpike spearheads the dwarven excavation into Alterac Valley. Following the Third War, he marched the Stormpike Guard into the northern mountains seeking hidden mineral riches and long-lost titan artifacts. Settling into the fortified redoubt of Dun Baldar, Vanndar views the valley as an ancestral right and rightful Alliance territory. He directs military outposts, defensive bunkers, and frontline pushes with grim dwarven resolve, determined that no retreat will ever be sounded under his watch.

Vanndar's relentless mining and prospecting encroached directly onto the home of the Frostwolf clan, sparking brutal mountain warfare. Despite orcish demands to withdraw, Vanndar refuses to yield an inch of ground, vowing that Alterac Valley will belong to the dwarves. From his throne room deep within Dun Baldar, flanked by his marshals and bodyguards, he personally oversees the defense against Frostwolf incursions while dispatching Alliance champions to break the enemy lines and claim the valley once and for all.
