Redridge Mountains

East of Elwynn Forest, the Redridge Mountains feature rushing rivers, wooded slopes, and the serene expanse of Lake Everstill. Despite its scenic heights, the region is besieged by hostile Shadowhide gnolls and the encroaching Blackrock orcs of the Dark Horde. With the kingdom's military tied up by internal strife in Stormwind, the lakeside town of Lakeshire must rely on wandering mercenaries to hold the line.

The Redridge range was once among the most peaceful corners of the kingdom, supplying Stormwind with timber, freshwater fish, and crops. Today, that quiet life has eroded. The lakeside township of Lakeshire sits perpetually fortified against aggressive incursions. To the east, Stonewatch Keep—once a proud bastion of the kingdom—has fallen under the control of renegade Blackrock orcs and gnolls, cutting off roads and threatening to overrun the eastern valleys entirely.
