Stonewatch Keep

Stonewatch Keep is a fortified stone stronghold looming in eastern Redridge Mountains, once built and manned by the Kingdom of Stormwind. It has fallen to an invading host of Blackrock orcs, serving as the forward operational base from which their warlords terrorize Lakeshire.

Stonewatch Keep originally defended the eastern ridges and guarded the settlers of Lakeshire against hostile incursions. That peace shattered when the renegade warlock Morganth struck an alliance with the Blackrock clan. Bolstered by dark magic, the orcs stormed the fortress with vicious ferocity, overwhelming the human defenders and taking the keep for themselves. Although Morganth later abandoned his allies to raise the nearby Tower of Ilgalar and subjugate local gnolls, the Blackrock invaders successfully consolidated their grip over Stonewatch, transforming a former bastion of the Alliance into a fortified staging ground for their assault on the valley.
