Alther's Mill

Alther's Mill is a ruined lumber mill tucked into the rugged hills northeast of Lakeshire in the Redridge Mountains. Once a vital source of processed timber for local builders, the abandoned grounds have deteriorated into a haven for feral scavengers and prowling predators. For adventurers traveling east toward Stonewatch, the dilapidated structures serve as a grim landmark marking the boundary of safe frontier territory.

Before the region fell prey to invading predators and orc raids, Alther's Mill bustled with timber trade that supplied the construction of Lakeshire and surrounding settlements. Its quiet clearing northeast of Lake Everstill provided ready access to mountain timber stands. As turmoil mounted across the kingdom of Stormwind and the Blackrock clan pushed down from the heights of Stonewatch, local millers abandoned the facility, leaving the dry timber buildings and wheel to decay into rot.
