Stonewatch

Stonewatch is a fortified stronghold in central Redridge Mountains, built to defend the surrounding human lands from northern invasions. Formerly manned by Stormwind soldiers, the fortress has fallen under the brutal control of the Blackrock orcs, posing an immediate threat to nearby Lakeshire.

Positioned over the cliffs near Stonewatch Falls, Stonewatch comprises a heavily built tower and keep designed to guard the approaches from the Burning Steppes. Originally held by Lakeshire's defenders, the fortification fell when the rogue warlock Morganth forged an alliance with the Blackrock clan. Infused with dark magic, the invading orcs overwhelmed the local human garrison—the 12th Sabre Regiment—and claimed the fortress. Although Morganth eventually turned on his allies and withdrew to the nearby Tower of Ilgalar with an army of Shadowhide gnolls, the Blackrock orcs retained a stranglehold over the keep under the command of General Gath'Ilzogg and Lieutenant Tharil'zun.
