Tower of Ilgalar

The Tower of Ilgalar is an isolated spire perched high in the crags of the eastern Redridge Mountains. Once a wizard's retreat, it has fallen into shadow as the hideout of Morganth, a banished sorcerer from Stormwind who now commands the region's feral gnolls and practices dark magic.

Looming over eastern Redridge, the Tower of Ilgalar serves as the personal sanctum of Morganth. Cast out from the Mage Quarter of Stormwind for dabbling in forbidden magic, the rogue sorcerer retreated into these rugged heights to delve deeper into the dark arts without imperial interference. Rather than living in solitude, Morganth asserted dominion over the local Shadowhide gnoll clan, employing them as savage sentries around the base of the spire. Inside, the tower crawls with conjured demonic hounds and crackles with shadowy power, posing a constant, brooding menace to the beleaguered town of Lakeshire below.
