Darcy

Behind the busy counter of the Lakeshire Inn, Darcy works day and night to keep the town's weary militia fed and watered. Lakeshire sits under constant pressure from gnolls and Blackrock orcs, making the tavern one of the few places of warmth left in the settlement. Darcy takes a personal interest in the guards posted around town, frequently recruiting traveling adventurers to run hot meals and friendly errands out to those stationed along the borders.

Darcy's warmth extends especially toward Guard Parker, who patrols the roads near Three Corners. Convinced he works too hard on an empty stomach, she regularly sends travelers out with lunch to keep him on his feet. Her affections have not gone unnoticed—Darcy keeps a watchful eye on Martie Jainrose, whom she considers a jealous rival for Parker's favor, turning the defense of Lakeshire into the backdrop for an earnest small-town romance.
