Token of Thievery
The Token of Thievery is a proof of skill recovered by novice rogues during their training in the Redridge Mountains. Placed inside a locked footlocker at the orc-threatened Alther's Mill, it serves as the final test set by the seasoned thief Lucius to demonstrate mastery over lockpicking.
A Test of Finesse
Not every scoundrel possesses an innate knack for working tumblers and slipping catches unnoticed. In Lakeshire, the roguish instructor Lucius puts promising operatives through their paces by testing their wits and tools in the field. Rather than keeping his trials confined to quiet alleys, Lucius stashes the Token of Thievery inside a sturdy lockbox hidden among the ruins of Alther's Mill, directly in the path of encroaching Blackrock orcs. Retrieving the token proves that an initiate can pick a secure mechanism under the pressure of mortal danger, earning them their formal Certificate of Thievery.
