Rogue

Rogues are masters of stealth, espionage, and sudden, lethal combat who dictate the terms of engagement from the shadows. Relying on light leather armor, dual-wielded blades, and brewed toxins, they strike unawares before vanishing back into the dark. Across Azeroth, they serve as scouts, assassins, pickpockets, and agents for factions and hidden syndicates alike.

Strike from the Shadows

Rogues eschew the heavy plate and open confrontation of traditional frontline warriors. Clad in lightweight leather to remain completely silent and mobile, they stalk their quarry unseen. When they engage, they seize the opening moments through precision and surprise, aiming for vital organs or exposed joints. Utilizing an ever-flowing pool of energy and rapid weapon combinations, a rogue softens up an enemy with carefully chained strikes before unleashing a catastrophic finishing blow.

Poisons and Street Smarts

A blade alone is rarely enough for a professional cutpurse or killer. Rogues are skilled alchemists of lethal concoctions, hand-crafting venomous coatings to numb limbs, slow escapes, or rapidly sap the vitality of their targets. Coupled with lockpicking tools, thrown weapons, and distracting trickery, they excel at slipping past fortified perimeters, disarming traps, and infiltrating vaults that would stump a company of soldiers.

Guilds, Crowns, and Syndicates

While many rogues operate as lone wolves, highwaymen, or street-level thugs, the finest operatives belong to organized intelligence networks and assassin guilds. Stormwind relies on the clandestine operatives of SI:7, and the Forsaken utilize the relentless Deathstalkers. In Orgrimmar, the shadowy remnants of the Shattered Hand serve the Warchief, while the elite, neutral League of Assassins answers to Lord Jorach Ravenholdt.
