Encrypted Scroll

When a freshly awakened Forsaken shows an aptitude for stealth and subterfuge, they do not remain unnoticed for long. The Encrypted Scroll is handed over in Deathknell once a scout proves capable against the mindless Scourge roaming the nearby graveyard. Bearing the personal seal of the rogue trainer David Trias, the scroll instructs the bearer to seek him out in the local inn. It serves as an initial vetting process, pointing fledgling operatives toward the discipline required to serve the Dark Lady rather than wasting their second chance at life as mere pickpockets.

The message itself is brief, directing the rogue to establish contact within Deathknell before venturing deeper into Tirisfal Glades. Trias keeps tabs on up-and-coming talent on behalf of the Shadowstalkers, the covert arm of the Forsaken. To survive in Lordaeron, the Forsaken rely heavily on silent blades and cunning scouts to counter the Scarlet Crusade, surviving Alliance enclaves, and leftover Scourge filth. Answering this ciphered summons is the first step toward joining that covert network.
