Ravenholdt
Ravenholdt, also known as the Assassin's League, is an elite guild of rogues, thieves, and killers based out of a secluded mountain manor above the Hillsbrad Foothills. Led by Lord Jorach Ravenholdt, the league maintains strict neutrality from faction politics while waging an unending shadow war against their bitter rivals, the Syndicate. They test and recruit only the most cunning operatives across Azeroth, valuing peerless discipline, stealth, and lethal efficiency above all else.
The Hidden League
Tucked away in the craggy mountains connecting Hillsbrad to Alterac, Ravenholdt Manor serves as the nerve center for Azeroth's premier brotherhood of assassins. Led by Lord Jorach Ravenholdt, the organization operates far beyond the jurisdiction of kings and warchiefs. Within its walls, master specialists hone every lethal art: Master Kang instructs disciples in close combat and assassination, the Thunderwood brothers brew rare and deadly poisons, and gnome craftsmen engineer intricate locks to test fledglings. To non-rogues, entering the estate is an overt flirtation with death, where an unwary step easily ends with a poisoned dagger in the ribs.
Shadow War with the Syndicate
For years, Ravenholdt has been locked in an escalating feud with the Syndicate, an aristocratic criminal cartel infesting Alterac and Arathi. While the League regards the Syndicate as clumsy, arrogant amateurs, their sheer numbers make them impossible to eradicate through simple slaughter. Instead, Ravenholdt employs psychological and structural disruption: by tasking contracted rogues with pickpocketing the signet emblems worn by Syndicate ringleaders, the League relies on the Syndicate's own paranoia and cutthroat hierarchy to execute disgraced members internally.
