Verner's Note
Verner's Note is a written requisition penned by Lakeshire's blacksmith, Verner Osgood, and carried to Smith Argus in Goldshire. It details a critical shortage of iron in Redridge, asking the Elwynn smith for emergency horseshoes.
A Plea for Iron
Maintaining the defense of Lakeshire demands a heavy toll in worked metal. With the Stormwind Guard stationed in town stretched thin against invading gnolls and local perils, Verner Osgood has consumed nearly all his iron reserves keeping soldiers armed and armored. As a result, Lakeshire's stables have fallen into neglect, lacking even basic horseshoes for their mounts. This letter represents Verner swallowing his pride to ask Smith Argus in Goldshire for an external shipment of prepared shoes to keep the town's horses mobile.
