Smith Argus
Smith Argus is the resident blacksmith and trainer stationed in the heart of Goldshire in Elwynn Forest. From his open-air forge near the Lion's Pride Inn, he repairs traveler gear, teaches novice smiths their fundamentals, and coordinates with craftsmen across southern Azeroth. His network ties Goldshire's local trade directly to logistical hubs like Stormwind and distant frontiers like Redridge.
The Anvil of Goldshire
Situated just outside the Lion's Pride Inn, Smith Argus maintains one of the busiest anvils in Elwynn Forest. While Goldshire faces growing perils from nearby gnolls, kobolds, and Defias bandits, Argus keeps local militia and passing adventurers properly equipped. In addition to mending dented armor and forging sturdy implements, he serves as a blacksmithing trainer, initiating fledgling craftsmen into the fundamentals of working copper and bronze.
Inter-Town Trade and Demands
Argus is not an isolated village smith; his workshop is a vital link in the Kingdom of Stormwind's regional supply chain. When craftsmen in neighboring settlements require specialized gear or raw materials, they look to Goldshire's central position. Farrier Verner Osgood in Redridge relies on Argus for shipments of crafted horseshoes to keep pack animals and cavalry moving, while metalworkers in Stormwind's Dwarven District regularly coordinate deliveries through him.
