Goldshire

Goldshire is a vital human crossroads town nestled in central Elwynn Forest, connecting Stormwind City with Westfall, Redridge, and the southern frontier. Rebuilt after its destruction in the First War, it serves as a bustling waystation anchored by the famous Lion's Pride Inn and defended by a hard-pressed contingent of the Stormwind Guard.

Positioned where the king's highways meet, Goldshire has long been the civic and commercial heart of rural Elwynn. However, the town's bucolic charm masks escalating peril in Year 25 ADP. With Stormwind's military resources stretched thin and King Varian Wrynn mysteriously absent, Marshal Dughan must rely on passing adventurers rather than regular troops to contain surrounding threats. Aggressive Riverpaw gnolls push inward from the western border, while vicious murlocs claim the shores of Stone Cairn Lake and Crystal Lake, claiming the lives of royal guards and encroaching dangerously close to the town center.
