Daffodil Bouquet
The Daffodil Bouquet is a fresh bundle of bright flowers gathered by the herbalist Martie Jainrose in Lakeshire. Intended as a romantic token of appreciation from Guard Parker to Darcy, the gift inadvertently stokes local gossip and petty rivalry.
A Tangled Token
When Guard Parker wishes to express his gratitude to Darcy at the Lakeshire inn for packing his daily lunch, he arranges a gesture through the town's herbalist, Martie Jainrose. Martie prepares a bouquet of daffodils, noting they are her personal favorite. However, when delivered to Darcy, the bright blooms immediately raise suspicions: Darcy recognizes the selection as Martie's signature flower and suspects petty jealousy from the other woman, half-joking that Martie might have poisoned the stems out of spite.
