The royal army from Stormwind has inexplicably failed to arrive in force to defend the region's borders. Unable to wait for official support from the kingdom's capital, Solomon pens this plea in a desperate bid to recruit assistance from outside the regular military structure. Having caught word of a volunteer defense force coalescing across Elwynn to the west, he turns directly to the People's Militia.

The message is addressed directly to Gryan Stoutmantle, a veteran warrior organizing the frontier defense of Westfall. Solomon hopes Stoutmantle can spare fighters to reinforce Lakeshire until Stormwind's crown finally sends regular reserves. Entrusted to an adventurer acting as courier, the document reflects the fracturing administrative coordination across Stormwind's outlying territories, where local magistrates are left to negotiate mutual aid agreements on their own initiative.
