Gryan Stoutmantle

Gryan Stoutmantle is a paladin of the Silver Hand and the commander of the People's Militia, operating out of Sentinel Hill in Westfall. Born in Westfall, he returned from the devastated northern kingdom of Lordaeron to protect his homeland after Stormwind's crown abandoned the region to banditry.

Gryan Stoutmantle began his service far from the quiet fields of southern Azeroth. Traveling north to Lordaeron as a young man, he took vows as a Knight of the Silver Hand and endured the horrors of the Third War, even witnessing the tragic purge of Stratholme by Prince Arthas Menethil. When news reached him that his native province of Westfall was collapsing into lawlessness, overrun by organized brigands and abandoned by the crown, Gryan left the northern fronts behind. He traded imperial battlefields for the defense of honest farmers, swearing that his home would not fall as the north had.
