Edwin VanCleef

Edwin VanCleef was the brilliant Guildmaster of the Stonemasons who rebuilt Stormwind City after the Second War. After being cheated of payment by the House of Nobles, he led a violent workers' revolt and formed the outlaw Defias Brotherhood. Operating from deep within the Deadmines of Westfall, he seeks vengeance against the kingdom he helped restore.

Following the devastation of the First War, Edwin VanCleef was chosen to lead the Stonemasons Guild in the monumental task of rebuilding Stormwind City. A peerless craftsman and an idealist, VanCleef directed the construction of the capital's grand ramparts and towering cathedrals, and even oversaw the erection of Nethergarde Keep to watch over the Dark Portal. Alongside his mastery of architecture, VanCleef was a remarkably deadly operative; he was trained in stealth, subterfuge, and bladecraft by his childhood friend, Mathias Shaw.
