WoW Forever Class Changes: Paladin, Druid and Every Class

World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) adds new abilities and talent changes to its classes, with Paladins gaining Holy Strike at level 6 and Seal of Fury, and Druids gaining Lacerate at level 42 and Shifting Power, according to Blizzard's class deep dives. The beta ended on October 23, 2026 at level 30, so every number below is a beta value dated by its source and may differ at launch on November 4.

Quick answer: Blizzard's deep dives set the design; beta notes of September 24, October 1 and October 15 then retuned numbers, and the October 26 notes, issued after the beta ended, had no class changes. Paladin and Druid changes are largest. Details are as of November 2, 2026.

Dated WoW Forever class changes: Blizzard's Paladin overview on September 13, Hunter and Druid deep dive September 30, beta notes September 24, October 1 and October 15, October 26 notes with no class changes, and the beta ending October 23.

What changed for Paladins in WoW Forever?

Blizzard's September 13 recap says Paladins gain Holy Strike, an instant Holy-damage strike with a 12-second cooldown (10 seconds in the September 24 beta notes), at level 6, a baseline Consecration at level 20, and Seals that Judgment no longer consumes. Seal of Fury gives Protection a taunt through Judgment, Templar's Bulwark is an absorb cooldown, and Retribution gains Sacred Arbiter and Twist of Light. Blizzard says Paladins still lack an interrupt and a slow. Undead Paladin is one of six new race and class pairings. Warcraft Tavern lists Plate at level 40 and Blessings lasting one hour.

Beta tuning, by date: on September 24 Righteous Fury's Holy threat went to 60% (was 90%) and Vengeance's stacks to 3 (was 5); on October 1 Redoubt block became 4/8/12/16/20% and Champion of the Light 20/40/60%; on October 15 Righteous Fury returned to 90%, Consecration's coefficient fell to 0.042 (was 0.095) and Champion of the Light became 10/20/30% of Intellect (Warcraft Tavern, PCGames.de). See the Paladin guide.

What changed for Druids in WoW Forever?

Blizzard's September 30 deep dive, as reported by Warcraft Tavern, lets potions, weapon enchants and racials such as War Stomp work in shapeshift forms. Feral gains Lacerate, a stacking bleed, at level 42, plus Primal Bite and Berserk; Restoration gains Revive at level 12 and Wild Growth; every Druid gets Omen of Clarity at level 20, and Balance gets a 16-point Insect Swarm. Shifting Power replaces Tiger's Fury, with Furor redesigned to stop bear-weaving.

Beta tuning: September 24, Wrath's base damage up about 50%; October 1, Bear Form rage on crits up 75% and Shifting Power costing 55% of base mana for 40 Energy on a 16-second cooldown; October 15, Shred at level 20 (was 22) and Faerie Fire generating threat in Bear Form. Warcraft Tavern's undated guide says Bear Form, the first form at level 10, is learned by completing a quest in Forever; that is one source. See the Druid guide.

What changed for the other classes?

  • Warrior (guide): October 15, Battle Shout is raid-wide and Slam ignores pushback. For the October 1 build, sources differ on crit Rage from basic attacks: Warcraft Tavern lists 75% more, while PCGames.de lists that line and another raising it to 100% (was 75%).
  • Mage (guide): October 15, Frost Blast at level 24, Arcane Blast a 1.5-second cast, new 16-point Arcane Wrath.
  • Rogue (guide): October 15 listed only fixes; October 1 changed Subtlety's Setup.
  • Hunter (guide): Aimed Shot at level 20 and combat traps (Blizzard, via Warcraft Tavern); October 15, Auto Shot needs 0.5 seconds standing still.
  • Priest (guide): October 15, Devouring Plague cooldown 24 seconds (was 60), Shadow Word: Death 18 (was 12).
  • Shaman (guide): October 15, Grace of Air, Strength of Earth, Windfury and Flametongue totems are raid-wide; Chain Lightning mana cost cut about 35%.
  • Warlock (guide): October 15, Soul Link works on the pet; Shadow Mastery is 2/4/6/8/10%.

What is not confirmed yet

  • Whether beta values carry to launch; Blizzard's Druid deep dive says its changes may shift during the beta, and Righteous Fury's threat flipped from 90% to 60% and back.
  • Levels 31 to 60: the beta stopped at 30.

The free Lore Forever add-on is fan-made and covers quests and NPCs for levels 1 to 30; it does not track class abilities. Willo is a companion app with Windows and Apple Silicon Mac downloads (check its page for which features the Mac build has). Willo can be wrong, so check class numbers against Blizzard's notes.
