WoW Forever Racials: Every Race's Abilities Explained

Every race in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) has four racial abilities, according to Warcraft Wiki, and development notes from October 26 and 27, 2026 changed values for Humans, Dwarves, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead and Skyborne ahead of the November 4 launch. Warcraft Tavern reports the changes; Kami Labs says they were announced but not yet live, with no build date given.

Quick answer: Racials are the small bonuses and abilities each race brings. Forever removed the weapon-specialization and resistance racials, added new ones, and was still tuning numbers a week before launch, so check each value against the source's date.

The racials of the nine WoW Forever races as listed by Warcraft Wiki: Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Orc, Tauren, Troll, Undead and Skyborne in two branches, High Order and Windshaper, with the abilities changed in the October 26 and 27, 2026 notes marked.
Four racials per race by name, with the ones changed in the October 26 and 27 development notes marked.

The races of Azeroth do not all set out with the same gifts. A Tauren and a Night Elf may walk the same trail and carry different things for it.

What changed in the October 26 and 27 development notes?

According to Warcraft Tavern and Kami Labs, reporting the Blizzard forum development notes posted by Kaivax, the changes are listed below. Kami Labs' list does not include Berserking; that change comes from Warcraft Tavern's October 27 report, and the excerpt of the October 27 Blizzard forum update also lists it, along with Blood Fury and Touch of the Grave.

  • Human: Ruthless critical chance 2% to 1%; The Human Spirit 5% to 10%.
  • Dwarf: Earth Fury removed; Artisan's Precision added.
  • Tauren: Plainsrunning 1% to 2% per stack, cap 30% to 60%, no bonus while mounted; Endurance keeps only +5% Health.
  • Orc: Savage removed, Command returned; Blood Fury cooldown 3 minutes to 2.
  • Troll: Berserking duration 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Undead: Touch of the Grave internal cooldown 25 to 15 seconds.
  • Skyborne: Wind Blessed haste 3% to 2%; Read Ley Line 100% to 50% for 15 seconds, and 100% for an hour near a ley line; Skysight 10% to 15%, and 30% near an elemental convergence. Both hour-long buffs are removed on entering a raid.

Where do the sources disagree?

Method's October 19 table gives Night Elf Wisp Spirit as +75% run speed while dead; Warcraft Tavern's Night Elf guide says 25%, and no source I opened settles which is right. Method's table still lists the Orc's Savage and gives Berserking as 10% for 10 seconds, the value before the October 27 increase. Warcraft Tavern's Tauren guide still shows the older 30% cap and a 3% mounted bonus. Warcraft Tavern's racial overview has no publication date, and mein-mmo (October 28) says name-reservation screens did not yet reflect the changes. What is not confirmed yet

  • Whether the October 26 and 27 values are live at launch.
  • Exact Eureka and Walk on Air details, which Method and Warcraft Tavern describe differently.
  • Anything beyond level 30, since the beta ended there.

Racials are small next to your class, which is why the classes hub comes first. If you play on Windows, you can also ask Willo a question out loud while you play; she can be wrong, so check numbers against the sources here.
