Who was Stalvan Mistmantle?

According to Engadget's Know Your Lore column (Daniel Whitcomb, September 19, 2008), Stalvan came from Silverpine Forest, studied in Stormwind, taught at the Moonbrook schoolhouse in Westfall and later tutored the Flintridge children in Goldshire. He grew attached to his student Tilloa, and when she brought home a fiance he killed her and others. Warcraft Wiki says he used an axe on Tilloa and her intended groom, and possibly her whole family; Engadget says at least five people died.

What is The Legend of Stalvan in WoW Forever?

It is the quest chain that ends with Stalvan. ForeverChanges lists 13 quests under that name: twelve at level 28 and a last one, quest 98, at level 35 (required level 22) for 4,100 XP, which asks you to kill Stalvan Mistmantle and show Madame Eva his family ring. Warcraft Tavern's dungeon guide says only that Manor Mistmantle and the Half-Pint Tavern in Arathi Highlands are potential dungeons seen in datamining. Conflicting descriptions: kami-labs (build 1.60.1.70205) calls it "an instance added in this build." Forever Codex (70245), WoW Handbook (69913) and mmonster stress it is unannounced or may never open.
