WoW Forever Duskwood Guide: Darkshire, Raven Hill, Manor Mistmantle and Quests
Duskwood is the Alliance zone south of Elwynn Forest in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), where characters of roughly levels 18 to 30 work around Darkshire, Raven Hill and the Yorgen Farmstead. Warcraft Wiki says the original zone remains in Forever, and Warcraft Tavern's beta notes mention one change, faster creature respawns.
Quick answer: Make Darkshire your base, take the Night Watch quests from Commander Althea Ebonlocke, and branch out to Raven Hill, the Yorgen Farmstead and the long chain The Legend of Stalvan. The zone has no dungeon, and Stranglethorn Vale lies to the south.

Warcraft Wiki says the area was first called Brightwood, farmland with towns such as Grand Hamlet and Raven Hill, before it became known as Duskwood. Darkshire, Raven Hill, Manor Mistmantle and Twilight Grove are the names to learn.

Where do you start in Duskwood?
Darkshire is the town to settle in. Warcraft Wiki's quest table shows Alliance players arriving with Messenger to Darkshire, a level 18 quest from Magistrate Solomon in Lakeshire that ends with Lord Ello Ebonlocke. Commander Althea Ebonlocke runs the Night Watch from Darkshire and gives The Night Watch at level 24. The Classic pages for Westfall and Redridge Mountains list flight paths from Sentinel Hill and Lakeshire to Darkshire. The road in from the east is in the Redridge Mountains guide.
What are the main Duskwood quests?
Warcraft Wiki's quest page lists these, all for the Alliance:
- Raven Hill: Raven Hill (level 20) comes from Elaine Carevin in Darkshire, and Jitters gives Jitters' Growling Gut. Abercrombie in Raven Hill Cemetery gives Zombie Juice (24) and Ghoulish Effigy (27).
- Yorgen Farmstead and the Hushed Bank: Watcher Dodds gives Eight-Legged Menaces (21) at the farmstead, and Sven Yorgen gives Sven's Revenge and The Shadowy Figure (both 25) at the Hushed Bank.
- Madame Eva: Ghost Hair Thread (24), The Hermit and The Totem of Infliction (both 25), all from her in Darkshire.
- The Legend of Stalvan: A level 28 chain of at least nine parts (the table is cut off), passing through Darkshire, Moonbrook in Westfall, Goldshire, Stormwind City and the Eastvale Logging Camp.
- Dungeon quest: Crime and Punishment (26) from Councilman Millstipe in Darkshire is listed for The Stockades.
The page was cut off partway through, so it may hold more, including the Morbent Fel and Eliza chains it mentions by name. For the wider route see the Alliance leveling zones guide and leveling 10 to 30.
Why is Duskwood always dark?
Warcraft Wiki's Duskwood page gives two accounts. In one, fel energy released when Medivh died turned the land into a blighted wood. It also records an older explanation that the darkness came from Karazhan. The Classic page instead ties the black fog and the worgen to the Scythe of Elune. Read the Medivh story for the first.
The Duskwood page names Morbent Fel, a necromancer, as the reason the zone is overrun with undead, and says worgen near Manor Mistmantle and Roland's Doom served the Wolf Cult. The Classic page lists Manor Mistmantle, Twilight Grove and Roland's Doom as subzones, and calls Darkshire the former Grand Hamlet. The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable background as you stand in each place, and the optional Willo Windows companion answers lore questions by voice.
What is different about Duskwood in WoW Forever?
Warcraft Tavern's beta notes, written when the level cap rose to 30, list "increased creature respawn rates" for Duskwood. They do not list the zone as new content. The same notes list Wetlands, Redridge Mountains, Loch Modan and Westfall with similar tuning. Read about Westfall next door.
What is not confirmed yet
