WoW Forever Redridge Mountains Guide: Lakeshire, Tower of Ilgalar and Quests

Redridge Mountains is the Alliance zone northeast of Elwynn Forest in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), where characters of roughly levels 15 to 25 hold Lakeshire against gnolls and Blackrock orcs. Warcraft Wiki says the original zone remains in Forever. Warcraft Tavern's beta notes say the quest Blackrock Blockade was updated and spawn rates were adjusted.

Quick answer: Lakeshire is the only travel hub. Take quests from Verner Osgood, Marshal Marris and Foreman Oslow, then follow the Tower of Ilgalar chain from Theocritus. Flight paths run from Lakeshire to Stormwind, Sentinel Hill, Darkshire and Morgan's Vigil.

Redridge Mountains quest route from Three Corners to Burning Steppes
Route in order: enter at Three Corners, settle in Lakeshire, run the Verner Osgood chain, clear the Blackrock threat with Marshal Marris, follow the Tower of Ilgalar chain, then fly to Darkshire or north to the Burning Steppes.

Warcraft Wiki's Classic page places Lakeshire on the northern bank of Lake Everstill. Magistrate Solomon runs its Town Hall, and Marshal Marris sends young humans out against the gnolls and the Blackrock orcs.

Warcraft Tavern's beta notes name Blackrock Blockade, which Warcraft Wiki's quest page does not list under that name. Read the Duskwood guide and the Westfall guide for the neighbouring routes, or the leveling 10 to 30 guide for the full path.

How do you travel in and out of Redridge Mountains?

Elwynn Forest is west, entered through Three Corners, Duskwood is southwest and the Burning Steppes lie north (Warcraft Wiki). Magistrate Solomon in Lakeshire starts the Reinforcing Redridge messenger chain, which sends you to Stormwind, Westfall and Darkshire in turn. Read the Elwynn Forest guide and the Alliance leveling zones guide for the road in.

What is the story of Redridge Mountains?

Warcraft Wiki says the Orcish Horde conquered Redridge in the First War and the southern kingdom went into exile before the humans returned. The Blackrock and Black Tooth Grin orcs came back as the Dark Horde and attacked Lakeshire from Blackrock Mountain. Allied with the warlock Morganth and his Shadowhide gnolls, they seized the eastern half of the zone. Stonewatch Keep, a human castle, was captured by the orcs before the events of the original game. Lakeshire, the wiki adds, was weakened by political turmoil in Stormwind until Reginald Windsor returned. Read the orcs of Azeroth guide for the clans and the Blackrock clan guide for more.

Warcraft Tavern's beta notes, written when the level cap rose to 30, say the quest Blackrock Blockade was updated and spawn rates were adjusted. The notes name no other Redridge change, and they list respawn tuning for Duskwood, Wetlands, Loch Modan and Westfall.
