WoW Forever Ragefire Chasm: Level 13-18 Horde Dungeon Under Orgrimmar
Ragefire Chasm is a lava cavern dungeon beneath Orgrimmar in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), tuned for levels 13 to 18, with four bosses: Oggleflint, Taragaman the Hungerer, Jergosh the Invoker and Bazzalan. Warcraft Tavern calls it the first dungeon available to Horde players and puts the entrance in the Cleft of Shadow, in the middle of Orgrimmar.
Quick answer: Walk down into the Cleft of Shadow in Orgrimmar, bring a group (Warcraft Wiki lists the Classic instance as five players) at level 13 or higher, and clear the chasm boss by boss. All of its quests are Horde quests. Alliance players have their own counterpart, the Hall of Thanes under Ironforge. Details are from the October beta and may change at launch.

Beneath Orgrimmar, the Cleft of Shadow drops into a chasm of lava, trogg tunnels and cultists. Neeru Fireblade stands at the entrance, and Thrall has work for those who come back out.

Where is the Ragefire Chasm entrance?
The way in is a descent. Warcraft Tavern's Forever guide places the entrance in the Cleft of Shadow, in the middle of Orgrimmar, at about 52.8, 49.6, and Warcraft Wiki says the Cleft sits beside Neeru Fireblade's tent.
For the city around it, read the Orgrimmar guide, the Durotar guide and the Horde leveling zones guide.
What level is Ragefire Chasm in WoW Forever?
Ragefire Chasm is tuned for levels 13 to 18. Warcraft Tavern's dungeon list and guide give 13 to 18, and Conquest Capped, which checked the October 8 beta build, agrees. Zockify lists a minimum level of 10 and a recommended level of 13. Warcraft Wiki's Classic page gives 15 to 21, so older guides may disagree. Its quests need level 9, says Warcraft Tavern. See the leveling 10 to 30 guide.
Who are the Ragefire Chasm bosses?
The chasm gives up its bosses in a fixed order. Warcraft Tavern lists four, all level 16 elites: Oggleflint, a trogg with two adds; Taragaman the Hungerer; Jergosh the Invoker, a Searing Blade orc with two adds; and Bazzalan, a satyr with two adds at the very end. Conquest Capped gives the same four in the same order.
Warcraft Wiki calls the chasm a network of volcanic caverns holding troggs and a Shadow Council sect, and names Taragaman a felguard, Jergosh a warlock and Bazzalan a satyr. Its history section calls the cult the Searing Blade while the official description calls it the Burning Blade, and Warcraft Tavern's quest guide uses both names. For the wider conspiracy, read the Shadow Council explainer.
Which quests belong to Ragefire Chasm?
Warcraft Tavern's quest guide lists five Horde quests, each shareable except the last:
- Testing an Enemy's Strength and Searching for the Lost Satchel, both from Rahauro in Thunder Bluff. The satchel quest has a follow-up, Returning the Lost Satchel.
- The Power to Destroy…, from Varimathras in the Undercity.
- Slaying the Beast, from Neeru Fireblade in the Cleft of Shadow, which asks for Taragaman's heart.
- Hidden Enemies, from Thrall in Orgrimmar, which asks you to slay Bazzalan and Jergosh. Warcraft Tavern says its chain lets you choose the Kris, Hammer, Axe or Staff of Orgrimmar.
Warcraft Tavern says part one of Hidden Enemies needs a Lieutenant's Insignia from Burning Blade Fanatics and Apprentices in Skull Rock, near the Orgrimmar gates. Meet the quest giver in the Thrall story.
Can the Alliance run Ragefire Chasm?
Technically yes, practically no. Warcraft Tavern says Alliance players can enter but will find it difficult or impossible to reach at the right level, and cannot complete any of its quests. Conquest Capped says most Alliance players run the Hall of Thanes instead. Warcraft Tavern names the Hall of Thanes as the Alliance counterpart, and the Hall of Thanes guide covers it.
What changed in WoW Forever?
Conquest Capped says the layout, the four bosses and their order match the original game. From the October 8 beta it reports blue boss drops, loot from Oggleflint and Bazzalan for the first time, and about 20% more experience from dungeon kills. These are one outlet's beta findings. See the dungeons guide and dungeon groups guide. The free Lore Forever add-on shows readable zone and quest background as you play; it is fan-made.
What is not confirmed yet
- Level range: sources disagree, listed above; Blizzard has not published one for Ragefire Chasm that I could open.
- Loot and drop changes: only Conquest Capped reports them, from beta data.
- Beta limit: the beta capped at level 30, so launch behavior may differ.
