How to Find a Dungeon Group in WoW Forever: Entrances, LFG and Roles
WoW Forever (World of Warcraft: Forever) has a Classic-style Looking For Group listing board but no automatic dungeon finder: you list yourself or browse listings, message a group, and then walk to the dungeon entrance together. Neither the Looking For Group tool nor a Meeting Stone teleports you, and the only summon is the Warlock's Ritual of Summoning, according to Warcraft Tavern's BlizzCon demo report.
Quick answer: Open the Looking For Group window, choose Create Listing or Group Browser, pick your role and playstyle, then message the group leader. Travel to the dungeon on foot, or have a Warlock summon the party at the entrance. Tanks and healers are the hardest roles to find, so play one if you can.

Key facts
- Group tool: a Looking For Group board with Create Listing and Group Browser tabs, matching the WoW Classic version (Warcraft Tavern)
- Automatic matching: none, because the tool organizes groups but does not form them (Warcraft Tavern)
- Teleport into dungeons: none from the tool or from Meeting Stones (Warcraft Tavern, Massively Overpowered)
- Summoning: only the Warlock's Ritual of Summoning, which needs two additional party members present (Warcraft Tavern)
- Playstyle options: Learning, Relaxed, Competitive or Carry Offered (Warcraft Tavern)
- Raids: open December 9, 2026, with Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair (Warcraft Tavern, September 13 roadmap)
- Launch: November 4, 2026; Warcraft Tavern's roadmap does not say which dungeons are open on day one
How do you find a dungeon group in WoW Forever?
You use the Looking For Group window. Warcraft Tavern's dungeon guide describes two tabs: Create Listing and Group Browser. To list yourself, choose the roles you will play, set a playstyle (Learning, Relaxed, Competitive or Carry Offered), say whether new players are welcome, add a note, and click List Self. To join, open the Group Browser, find a listing and message the leader. The guide says you can use Group Invite to invite people you find, but it suggests messaging first.
Warcraft Tavern's BlizzCon demo report, published September 14, 2026, says this is the same Looking For Group interface that exists in WoW Classic, that it helps organize groups, and that it does not form them automatically. Our dungeon overview lists the nine new dungeons you can look for.
Is there a dungeon finder or Meeting Stone summon?
There is no modern automated dungeon finder, according to Warcraft Tavern, and the Meeting Stone summoning from later expansions is not in the game. The report says players must physically travel to dungeon and raid entrances, as in the original game. Warcraft Tavern's dungeon guide repeats that neither the Looking For Group tool nor a Summoning Stone teleports you.
Sources differ on what Meeting Stones do. Massively Overpowered, summarizing Kotaku's BlizzCon coverage on September 15, 2026, says Meeting Stones sit outside dungeon entrances and open the Looking For Group window without teleporting anyone. Warcraft Tavern says Meeting Stone summoning is not present. Both agree there is no teleport. A third-party site, Timesaver.gg, says Lead Designer Tim Jones and Lead Encounter Designer Mike Nuthals stated directly that Forever has no automated group finder, but it quotes neither of them, so treat that as secondhand.
How do you get to the dungeon with your group?
Walk. Warcraft Tavern lists a Warlock's Ritual of Summoning, unlocked at level 20, as the only summon in the game, and says it requires two additional party members to be physically present to assist. Warcraft Tavern's dungeon guide adds that the ritual can bring players to the dungeon's gate, so the summon saves the walk for those who are far away. See the Warlock talent build if you want to be the group's summoner.
Plan the trip before you invite. Some dungeons are far from either faction's cities, and Ruins of Lordaeron gives Alliance players a long trip, according to Warcraft Tavern's guide: a boat from Menethil Harbor to Southshore, then the road west to Silverpine Forest and north to Tirisfal Glades. The guide warns that Spirit Healers are few and far between along that road.
Where are the early dungeon entrances?
Warcraft Tavern's dungeon table lists these level ranges and zones. Level ranges differ between guides, so check the in-game recommendation.
- Ragefire Chasm: Orgrimmar, levels 13 to 18
- Hall of Thanes: Ironforge, 13 to 18
- Ruins of Lordaeron: Tirisfal Glades, 15 to 20
- The Deadmines: Westfall, 15 to 22
- Wailing Caverns: The Barrens, 17 to 24
- Shadowfang Keep: Silverpine Forest, 20 to 26
- Blackfathom Deeps: Ashenvale, 22 to 28
- Excavation Site: Wetlands, 24 to 29
- The Stockade: Stormwind City, 25 to 29
- City of Dalaran: Alterac Mountains, 28 to 33; Method says you need the Dalaran Sewers Key
- Scarlet Monastery: Tirisfal Glades, 30 to 46 across its four wings
- The Drowned City: Stranglethorn Vale, 35 to 40
How do you find a tank or a healer?
Warcraft Tavern says tanks and healers can be hard to find and suggests playing one of those roles yourself or searching for them in the Group Browser. Warrior, Paladin and Druid can tank, and Priest, Paladin, Druid and Shaman can heal. Our Tanks and Healers guide explains each class, and the class pages cover builds for the Druid, Shaman and Mage.
A player post on the Blizzard forums, dated September 26, 2026, complains that listing a group brings many whispers that do not show class or role, so you need /who on each name. That is one player's experience, not an official statement. The add-on LFG Forever on CurseForge, by Artefius and last updated October 20, 2026, adds filters for role, class, playstyle and level, and a /lfg command. Massively Overpowered reports that Forever add-ons will have restrictions similar to those in the modern game, and does not say whether that covers group tools, so check before relying on one.
Is running dungeons worth it for experience?
Do each dungeon's questline once. Warcraft Tavern's dungeon guide says most dungeon experience has moved into questlines tied to each dungeon, and that repeat runs after finishing a questline give much less experience than open-world questing. It also says each drop automatically unlocks its appearance for every eligible looter. Pair the runs with leveling tips and the leveling guide. The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable quest and zone background on the way to each entrance, and it does not form groups.
What is not confirmed yet
- Warcraft Tavern's roadmap does not say which dungeons are open on launch day.
- Warcraft Tavern's conclusion that no automated finder is coming is an inference from the BlizzCon demo. A line in its report is ambiguous about whether it means a modern-style finder only.
- Sources disagree on whether Meeting Stones open the Looking For Group window.
- Whether a Raid Finder will exist is unconfirmed; Timesaver.gg says reports of one are speculation.
- Whether the Looking For Group window behaves identically at launch is unknown, because the reports describe the beta.
