WoW Forever Leveling Planner: Willo Goals, Notebook, Pins
You can use Willo, the companion app for World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), as a leveling planner: her Notebook and Pins are on every plan, her Goals and Reminders come with the Hero plan and up, and the free Lore Forever add-on's Journey page records what you have finished. Willo does not play for you, as her page says.
Quick answer: Write to-dos in the Notebook, drop a Pin where something matters, say a goal such as "I want my mount at 40", and ask for reminders. Goals and Reminders need Hero or higher after the free first days. As of November 2, 2026.

Key facts
- Notebook: to-dos and notes for each character; on every plan (Willo page)
- Pins: "Pin this spot" puts a place on your journey map; on every plan (Willo page)
- Goals and Reminders: Hero and up (Willo page); the free plan includes your first days with everything (Plans page)
- Journey page: in the free Lore Forever add-on; its Completed filter lists finished quests (project README, checkout dated October 22)
- Willo version: 0.35.0 for Windows 10 or 11 and Apple Silicon Macs (Willo page)
What do the Notebook and Pins do?
The Willo page says the Notebook keeps to-dos and notes for each character, which you can change any time; her example is writing down that you need ten linen cloth. A Pin saves a spot on your journey map, so a later "where was that cave?" has an answer. Both are on every plan, including the free one.
What do Goals and Reminders do?
Goals and Reminders look ahead. The Willo page gives the examples "I want my mount at 40", after which she says what it takes and how close you are as you play, and "Remind me to check my auction in fifteen minutes", or a reminder tied to a place such as Ironforge. They come with Hero and up. The free plan gives 50 answers a day and your first 7 days with everything (Plans page, November 2).
What does the Journey page add?
The Journey page is the look back. In the free Lore Forever add-on, the project README (checkout dated October 22, so check in game) says its Completed filter, or /lore quests, lists every quest the character has completed, newest first and grouped by zone. The add-on's CurseForge page says it covers every zone, city and dungeon up to level 30. The Willo FAQ says your Chronicle, the record behind the Journey, stays in the game's saved file on your PC and that you can stop it under Options with Remember my journey. See the Lore Forever add-on guide.
What could a first evening look like?
This is an example plan, not a route from any source; the game facts in it are attributed.
- Agree ruleset and faction with your friends first. mein-mmo (October 21) says you can only play with players who share your ruleset and faction.
- Notebook: "bag quest" for your race. mein-mmo lists Orcs, Trolls and several other races starting theirs around level 4, and Tauren starting at level 1 with "A Humble Task". See free bag quests.
- Notebook: visit your class trainer after level-ups; mein-mmo says new class skills must be bought there. A place-based reminder (Hero and up) could nudge you.
- Pin your starting village or inn.
- Goal: "I want my mount at 40." Method (October 21, drawing on the beta) says Apprentice Riding at level 40 costs 100 gold and includes your first mount. Check mounts and riding trainer locations.
- Notebook: stay on green or yellow quests, which mein-mmo recommends because there is no level scaling.
The first hour guide and the leveling guide cover the road itself. The full walk-through of the app is in how to use Willo.
What can Willo not do for your leveling?
Willo cannot do the leveling: her page says she never plays the game for you, and her FAQ says she can get things wrong and is not official game information. To see your quests and location she needs the free add-on and Live game info turned on in both the add-on's options and her settings (FAQ). Without the add-on she still works alone, even with WoW closed. You sign in with a Lore Forever account.
What is not confirmed yet
- How a goal such as the mount at 40 is answered at launch; the pages describe it only by example.
- Whether Goals, Reminders and Live game info behave the same on a Mac. The Willo page lists an Apple Silicon download for macOS 12 or later, but the FAQ still calls her a Windows app; check the Willo page.
- Level costs and mount rules come from the beta, and Method flags some mount details as unknown until launch.
How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help with this?
The free Lore Forever add-on gives the story of the quest in front of you through a Lore button, plus the Journey page, and the Willo page says it works on Mac too. Willo is free to start, with 50 answers a day, and the add-on is optional for her. Both are fan-made and not affiliated with Blizzard, and Willo can be wrong, so check her against the quest text.
