WoW Forever Free Bag Quests: The Starting Bag for Every Race
Each starting race that LepreStore and Conquest Capped list for World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) has an early quest that rewards a free 6-slot bag: Book Return for Humans, Grund and Gozwin for Dwarves and Gnomes, Soft Saber Pelts for Night Elves, Sticks and Bones for the Undead, Carry Your Weight for Orcs and Trolls, Grace of An'she and Mu'sha for Tauren and The Problem With Prideclaws for the Skyborne. LepreStore and Conquest Capped agree on the quest and bag names; some NPC names, levels and races differ between guides.
Quick answer: Look for the starting bag quest in your race's first town. Conquest Capped says these quests are usually completed by level 7 and that the starting quest bags bind on pickup.
The quests below are the starting bag quests that LepreStore and Conquest Capped list, from Goldshire and Anvilmar to Razor Hill, Brill and Shen'dar Village.

What do the starting bag quests ask you to do?
LepreStore (October 16, 2026) gives a short task for each quest. Book Return asks you to recover books near Fargodeep Mine, close to Goldshire. Soft Saber Pelts needs six Soft Nightsaber Pelts in Dolanaar, in Teldrassil. Sticks and Bones needs six Dry Branches in Brill, in Tirisfal Glades. Carry Your Weight needs eight Canvas Scraps for Furl Scornbrow, in Durotar. Grace of An'she and Mu'sha is a delivery of incense before a timer runs out, in Mulgore. The Problem With Prideclaws needs ten Prideclaw Pelts.
For Grund and Gozwin in Dun Morogh, ForeverWisp (September 18, 2026) says to recover Gozwin's Mechanic's Log in the camp in the northwestern hills and kill the Snow Leopard Prowler. It quotes a Wowhead report for the six-slot reward and calls its level range an observation window, not a verified minimum. WCLBox lists the quest at level 6 with a required level of 4 and marks it New in Forever; its page spells the quest and NPC names inconsistently.
Which other quests give bags before level 30?
LepreStore lists these quest bags, and Conquest Capped repeats several of them:
- Old Blanchy's Feed Pouch: eight slots, from Verna Furlbrow in Westfall. LepreStore notes older Classic guides list four slots, and Conquest Capped puts the quest around level 10.
- Deviate Hide Pack: ten slots, from Nalpak, for 20 Deviate Hides (LepreStore).
- Stronger than Steel: a 12-slot or 10-slot bag on Skywatcher Plateau, Horde only, at level 23 (LepreStore).
- Scuffed Shipping Crate: eight slots, from Wrenix the Wretched in Ratchet, level 9, for five Handfuls of Complicated Parts (LepreStore).
- Hunting Satchel: ten slots, a reward of Vyrin's Revenge, which finishes at Farstrider Lodge in Loch Modan, level 15, Alliance (LepreStore).
- Stepping Stones: two 12-slot bags from the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain, level 14 (LepreStore).

What do the sources disagree on?
Mein-MMO's beginner guide (October 21, 2026) gives the Tauren starter as the chain "A Humble Task" and says Human players find a book chain from Vermin Goblins, while LepreStore and Conquest Capped name Grace of An'she and Mu'sha and Book Return. ForeverWisp puts Grund and Gozwin at levels 3 and 4, and WCLBox says level 6. Conquest Capped adds Skyborne (High Order) to the Grund and Gozwin row, and LepreStore lists only Dwarves and Gnomes. Conquest Capped spells the Night Elf giver Aldria, and Mein-MMO spells it Aldia. Conquest Capped says Stronger than Steel requires level 23 and is listed at level 30.
What is not confirmed yet
ForeverWisp calls its report "sourced coverage, not our own completed quest test," and Conquest Capped says its drop chances and quest rewards are checked against Wowhead data from the beta, which it says was capped at level 30. Neither LepreStore nor Conquest Capped gives vendor prices. The Lore Forever add-on is a free download.
