WoW Forever Tirisfal Glades Quest Guide: Deathknell, Brill and the Forsaken

Tirisfal Glades is the Forsaken starting zone in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), a blighted woodland in Lordaeron where undead characters spend levels 1 to 5 in Deathknell, levels 5 to 10 around Brill, and then move on to Silverpine Forest. Warcraft Wiki says the original zone remains in Forever. No source has published Forever-specific Tirisfal quest changes, so this guide follows the original quest line and adds what Warcraft Tavern says is new.

Quick answer: Start in Deathknell with the opening chain, move to Brill and the war on the Scarlet Crusade, finish the mill and crypt quests, then walk on to Silverpine Forest. The new Ruins of Lordaeron dungeon sits at the Undercity's gates, and Scarlet Monastery is at levels 31 and up.

Tirisfal Glades quest route from Deathknell to Silverpine Forest
Route in order: Deathknell levels 1 to 5, Brill levels 5 to 10 with the Scarlet Crusade quests, the Undercity and the Ruins of Lordaeron dungeon at levels 15 to 20 or 22, then Silverpine Forest next.

Tirisfal Glades is a blighted woodland, and its derelict farms and mills are still haunted by what the Scourge left behind. You begin in a valley of crypts, in a body that is not quite yours, and the road to Brill is how you learn what to do with it.

Where do the Forsaken start in Tirisfal Glades?

The first hours pass in a valley of graves. StrategyWiki calls Deathknell the first town for all Undead, intended for levels 1 to 5, with every Undead class trainer. Warcraft Wiki's Classic zone page says Executor Arren sends young Forsaken into the world from Deathknell. The opening chain runs Rude Awakening, The Mindless Ones and Rattling the Rattlecages, with Undertaker Mordo giving the first and Shadow Priest Sarvis the next two. Novice Elreth, who gives The Damned, and Executor Arren are among the other named NPCs on the quest page.

Warcraft Tavern says Undead Paladins are new in Forever, so that class has no entry in the original quest table. It says Paladins get a unique class hub in Tirisfal Glades and a special class mount. The Paladin guide and the race and class guide cover the option.

What is the best quest order in Tirisfal Glades?

Warcraft Wiki's quest table gives the chains and their levels, which makes the order clear even without a written route.

  • Deathknell (levels 1 to 5): The Damned leads to Night Web's Hollow, The Scarlet Crusade, The Red Messenger and Vital Intelligence.
  • Brill (levels 5 to 10): A Putrid Task leads to The Mills Overrun, and A New Plague runs four parts from level 6 to level 11. Graverobbers leads through Forsaken Duties to Rear Guard Patrol. Executor Zygand leads the effort to reclaim the zone from the Scarlet Crusade, and the table's At War With the Scarlet Crusade chain runs from level 8 to level 12.
  • The mills and the family crypt: The Haunted Mills leads to Deaths in the Family, Speak with Sevren and The Family Crypt at level 13. Magistrate Sevren is the key NPC.
  • Undercity quests: Magistrate Sevren gives The Prodigal Lich in Brill at level 8, and Warcraft Wiki says it takes place in the Undercity, where Bethor Iceshard gives The Lich's Identity in the Magic Quarter.

StrategyWiki says Brill is the second town, with quests for levels 5 to 10, profession trainers and a stable. The first 10 levels checklist and the Horde leveling zones guide cover the route onward.

Which dungeons are near Tirisfal Glades?

Two kinds of dungeon wait here. The Ruins of Lordaeron is new in Forever, and Warcraft Tavern says it sits in the Undercity's outer courtyard and draws players from both factions. Warcraft Wiki lists it at levels 15 to 22 and Warcraft Tavern at 15 to 20. Read the Ruins of Lordaeron guide for the entrance and bosses.

The Scarlet Monastery is the Crusade's seat. Warcraft Wiki's Forever table lists its Graveyard at 31 to 37, Library 34 to 40, Armory 37 to 43 and Cathedral 39 to 45, while Warcraft Tavern gives somewhat wider ranges. See the Scarlet Monastery guide and Scarlet Crusade lore.

Warcraft Wiki and Warcraft Tavern both say zeppelins from towers south of Brill run to Orgrimmar in Durotar and to Grom'gol Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale. What is the story of Tirisfal Glades?

Warcraft Wiki's Classic page says the Forsaken hold Tirisfal as an unofficial kingdom under Sylvanas Windrunner, that the Scarlet Crusade has outposts here including its seat at the Scarlet Monastery, and that Scourge remnants still haunt derelict farms and mills. Warcraft Wiki's main Tirisfal page says rebel undead under Sylvanas took the capital after a civil war in the Plaguelands and made the region their home. StrategyWiki says the Undercity lies beneath the ruins of Lordaeron and that its tunnels were first built by Arthas and completed by Sylvanas. For the whole story read The Forsaken Explained, Sylvanas Windrunner and Sally Whitemane, who appears in Warcraft Wiki's ruler list for the zone. The free Lore Forever add-on adds readable background as you stand in each place, and the optional Willo Windows companion answers lore questions by voice.

What is new for the Forsaken in WoW Forever?

Warcraft Tavern's Undead overview lists the changes. Undead gain the Touch of the Grave racial, which drains some health from enemies in combat, and Priests gain Dark Sacrifice, similar to Warlock Life Tap. Resistance racials, including Shadow Resistance, were removed. A Graphics Settings toggle switches between Standard and High Definition models. The first mount is sold by Zachariah Post in Brill's stables.
