Fandral Staghelm

The story

Archdruid Fandral Staghelm leads the druids of the Cenarion Circle from the Cenarion Enclave in Darnassus. Stepping into power after Malfurion Stormrage vanished into the Emerald Dream, he championed the planting of the new World Tree, Teldrassil. Proud, abrasive, and relentlessly ambitious, Fandral advocates for an aggressive Kaldorei resurgence that frequently pits him against High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind.

Following the Third War and the sacrifice of Nordrassil atop Mount Hyjal, the night elves lost their immortality and their sacred sanctuary. While Malfurion Stormrage cautioned patience and warned against vanity, Fandral championed the bold creation of a new World Tree off the coast of Kalimdor. When Malfurion subsequently fell comatose within the Emerald Dream, Fandral seized the initiative and led the druids in raising Teldrassil. He envisioned the colossal bough as a monument to Kaldorei endurance and a vessel to restore their lost supremacy, even though the Dragon Aspects pointedly withheld their blessings from the unapproved endeavor.
