Melithar Staghelm

Standing directly outside the entrance to the great bough of Aldrassil, Melithar serves as an early point of contact for night elves emerging into the world. A druid who listens to the whisperings of the forest spirits, he has learned that the mysterious woodland protector Tarindrella has returned to Shadowglen after years away. Sensing that something is amiss, Melithar sends newcomers to seek out the dryad southwest of Aldrassil and learn what business brings her to the grove.

Bearing the surname Staghelm inevitably draws attention, as Archdruid Fandral Staghelm currently leads the Cenarion Circle in Darnassus following Malfurion Stormrage's disappearance into the Emerald Dream. However, Melithar makes no outward boast of grand heritage, nor does he actively speak of his lineage. Whether he is a distant kinsman of the Archdruid's venerable family line or merely shares an ancient Kaldorei family name, Melithar remains content fulfilling humble duties at the roots of Aldrassil.
