Priest Leveling Guide in WoW Forever: Wands, Shields, Shadow
There is no single agreed way to level a Priest in World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), but Warcraft Tavern, Method and Gamer Guides all lean on the wand: Tavern builds Discipline around wanding, Method uses one build to level 39 and then respecs to Shadow for Shadowform at level 40, and NoobToBoss, SeeMeta and TimeSaver all name Shadow. Gamer Guides, ranking levels 1 to 20, names Discipline.
Quick answer: Wand your enemies, keep Power Word: Shield up, and add Shadow Word: Pain when mana allows. Tavern says leveling primarily as a healer is not recommended because of slow kills. The beta stopped at level 30; launch (November 4, 2026) has a level 60 cap.

Which spec should a Priest level in WoW Forever?
Warcraft Tavern says the class changes little in its first 20 to 30 levels. Its Holy build is for those who "dip into dungeons" a lot, its Shadow build "doesn't start shining immensely until level 28" without decent spell power, and Discipline continues the early approach. Method recommends one talent build to level 39, calls it very mana efficient and tanky, warns that damage falls off in the mid to late 30s, and respecs to Shadow at 40. The page text I read does not name the tree of the 1 to 39 build.
The tier lists (fastest leveling class) rate Shadow slow but safe. NoobToBoss (C) says Priest "kills slowly early on" yet is better in a dungeon group, and SeeMeta (B) says damage stays low until Shadowform. Which Priest spells matter at which level?
Warcraft Tavern's tables list Smite and Lesser Heal at level 1, Shadow Word: Pain at 4, Power Word: Shield at 6, Mind Blast at 10, Psychic Scream at 14, Penance as a Discipline talent at 30 and Shadowform as a talent at 40. Method's list matches on Shadow Word: Pain, Power Word: Shield, Mind Blast, Psychic Scream and Shadowform.
Which wand should a leveling Priest use?
Method says wand upgrades matter until Penance and Shadowform. Tavern lists the Lesser Magic Wand at level 5 and Greater Magic Wand at 13, both from Enchanting, a Sizzle Stick from a Wailing Caverns quest from level 15 and a Gravestone Scepter from a Blackfathom Depths quest from level 18. Method rates the Greater Magic Wand about 50% higher in damage per second, advises Tailoring and Enchanting to craft your own, and says a shield up before combat reduces pushback. Tavern says Spirit gives passive mana regeneration.
Can a Priest heal your first dungeon?
Yes, according to Method, even as Shadow: "Don't be afraid to heal dungeons as a shadow specced priest." NoobToBoss calls Priest much better in a dungeon group, and Gamer Guides says Discipline can heal while still wanding. See tanks and healers and dungeon groups.
