Fastest Leveling Class in WoW Forever: 3 Lists Pick Hunter
Three leveling tier lists for World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever) name the Hunter the fastest leveling class: NoobToBoss, SeeMeta and TimeSaver each place Hunter in the top tier. NoobToBoss and TimeSaver put Mage there too, and all three place Warrior in the slowest tier. One other site, Gamer Guides, ranks differently.
Quick answer: The lists favor Beast Mastery Hunter, with Frost Mage a close second at NoobToBoss and TimeSaver. Warrior is the slowest solo leveler on all three. The lists cover a beta capped at level 30, and WoW Forever launches November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST (Blizzard) with a level 60 cap.

Sixty levels is a long walk, from the first quest giver to the last roads of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. Some travelers cross it with a companion at their side, and others stop to rest after nearly every fight. The lists below describe how each class tends to walk it.
Key facts
- NoobToBoss (October 19): S tier is Beast Mastery Hunter and Frost Mage; calls Hunter "the safest, fastest pick"
- SeeMeta (October 28): S tier is Hunter alone; Warlock, Frost Mage and Enhancement Shaman are A; Warrior is C
- TimeSaver (October 4): S tier is Hunter and Mage; Warrior and Druid are C
- Warcraft Tavern: its Hunter guide calls Hunters "one of the strongest classes for levelling"
- Level cap: the beta stopped at 30; Blizzard says players will "adventure to level 60"
Which class levels fastest in WoW Forever?
Hunter, on all three leveling lists. NoobToBoss credits the pet that tanks while ranged attacks keep downtime low, and SeeMeta says the pet tanks while the Hunter shoots, with Mend Pet keeping it alive from level 12 without resting. MeinMMO's Hunter page says the animal companion makes leveling largely a breeze, but calls the start of leveling exhausting because taming does not arrive until level 10. Our Hunter leveling guide covers that road.
Mage is the other name at the top. NoobToBoss and TimeSaver put Frost Mage in S tier for area damage, crowd control and free food and water, while SeeMeta grades it A. NoobToBoss says Mage needs more active play. See the Mage guide.
Which class levels slowest, and where do the lists disagree?
Warrior is C tier at all three sites. NoobToBoss calls it the slowest solo leveler, and SeeMeta says it rests after nearly every fight. Warcraft Tavern's Warrior leveling guide says that once you get your capstone talents at level 40, you will finally start to feel what a Warrior can truly do. TimeSaver and NoobToBoss both say a slow rank does not mean a weak class at level 60.
The middle shifts. Paladin is A at NoobToBoss and TimeSaver but B at SeeMeta, and Warcraft Tavern's guide says Paladins have historically been a very slow but effective leveler. Priest is C at NoobToBoss and B at the others, yet Warcraft Tavern's guide says Priest has always been a very comfy ride to 60 in World of Warcraft. Druid is A, B and C. Warcraft Tavern's guide says Rogues have always been one of the most difficult classes to level.
Gamer Guides disagrees with the three lists. Its overall class ranking, which it bases on play from level 1 to 20, puts Affliction Warlock and Discipline Priest in S tier and Beast Mastery Hunter in A, with Warrior and Druid in C. It has a separate leveling section whose text I could not read. See leveling tips and the leveling guide.
What is not confirmed yet
- Levels 31 to 60 are forecasts. SeeMeta and NoobToBoss project them from class kits and ability text, and SeeMeta calls its list an editorial estimate.
- No source I opened has measured leveling time for any class; see how long it takes to reach level 60.
- SeeMeta does not count mounts, which the beta lacked.
How can the Lore Forever add-on and Willo help with this?
The long road to level 60 is easier with a story and a list. The free Lore Forever add-on gives you the story and recorded narration of the zone you are in, a Lore button on quests, and a Journey page that lists every quest you have completed, newest first, grouped by zone. Willo, a Windows companion app, lets you ask out loud what to do next and hear the answer, talk to the characters you target, and keep a notebook of to-dos for each character while you level. She is free to start with 50 answers a day, works without the add-on, and can be wrong.
