WoW Forever Krol'dok Stronghold: Level 40-45 Ogre Dungeon in Riverglades
Krol'dok Stronghold is a five-player ogre fortress dungeon in the Riverglades zone of World of Warcraft: Forever (WoW Forever), built for levels 40 to 45. Blizzard describes ogre outrunners kidnapping travelers and ransacking communities, with strange chanting heard from the stronghold after nightfall, but it has not named any bosses or published an entrance.
Quick answer: Follow the ogres' trail into Riverglades and bring a group of five. Blizzard corrected the level range to 40 to 45 on September 15, after BlizzCon materials said 40 to 55. No boss list exists yet. Figures are as of October 25, 2026.

Past the slow rivers of Riverglades, an ogre fortress keeps its workshops lit and its walls guarded. Travelers on the road have gone missing, and after dark the stronghold chants. Someone has to follow that trail to its end.

Where is Krol'dok Stronghold in WoW Forever?
The stronghold stands in Riverglades, the new leveling zone on the east coast of the Eastern Kingdoms. Blizzard's dungeon post lists it there and tells players to follow the ogre raiders' trail to the fortress. Warcraft Wiki records it as a Riverglades subzone that exists only in Forever, and Wowhead's dungeon overview gives the same location.
No source I opened describes the entrance or gives coordinates. To reach Riverglades itself, the Riverglades guide covers the neutral boat between Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris and Powderfuse Port. Warcraft Wiki's Riverglades page also lists on-foot routes from the Redridge Mountains, the Badlands, the Swamp of Sorrows and the Burning Steppes.
What level is Krol'dok Stronghold?
Krol'dok Stronghold is for levels 40 to 45. Early BlizzCon coverage, including Warcraft Tavern and Icy Veins in mid-September, listed 40 to 55. On September 15, 2026, a Blizzard forum post stated that Krol'dok Stronghold will be for levels 40 to 45, and Warcraft Tavern reported the correction the same day. Wowhead's overview still shows 40 to 55 in its text and 40 to 45 in its summary table, so older pages may disagree. See the new dungeons guide for all nine ranges.
What is the story behind Krol'dok Stronghold?
Blizzard says ogre outrunners have been kidnapping travelers and ransacking communities across Riverglades, and that groups must end the raids and investigate the chanting. Icy Veins' summary of the BlizzCon reveal repeats the kidnappings, the raids on nearby settlements and the suspicious nighttime chanting.
One outlet hints at the Twilight's Hammer. Warcraft Tavern's BlizzCon article calls the dungeon "packed with ogres and whispers of a twilight hammer's cult", and Icy Veins' dungeon preview does not mention the cult. Warcraft Wiki's Riverglades page lists the Twilight's Hammer among the zone's affiliations and says the local ogres, the Bolder'ok clan, left the cult and allied with the Horde, so the connection is unclear. For the cult's background, read the Twilight's Hammer explainer. The free Lore Forever add-on shows quest and zone background while you play, and the optional Willo voice companion can read it aloud.
Who is Krol'dok Stronghold for?
It is a level 40 to 45 dungeon for one party of five, a step above The Drowned City at 35 to 40 and below Alcaz Prison at 48 to 53. Blizzard has not said whether it favors the Alliance or the Horde, and Riverglades has quests and flight paths for both. Groups stay within one faction and one ruleset, according to Blizzard's rulesets post; the dungeon groups guide and tanks and healers guide cover party roles.
What is not confirmed yet
- Bosses and loot: Blizzard's post names none, and a boosting site's guide that I read says databases list no confirmed bosses.
- Entrance: no source gives a location inside Riverglades.
- Attunement: Blizzard names an attunement only for City of Dalaran, so none is expected here, but Blizzard has not said so for Krol'dok.
- Beta: the beta capped at level 30, below this dungeon, so nobody has publicly played it.
