The Stockade

The Stockade is Stormwind's high-security prison complex, tucked beneath the city's canal district near the Mage Quarter. Built to hold the kingdom's most dangerous cutthroats, political insurgents, and captured enemies of state, the facility has recently collapsed into violent anarchy. Warden Thelwater has been forced back to the threshold, desperately recruiting capable adventurers to crush the riot from within before it spills out into the capital.

Beneath the tranquil canals of Stormwind, the Stockade has become a war zone. When the regular army marched out to fight on distant fronts, the understaffed prison leaned on inexperienced youth—including fourteen-year-old recruits—to maintain order. It did not hold. The inmates launched a bloody, coordinated rebellion, tearing their wool blankets into gang scarves and cutting down the remaining guards. Warden Thelwater barely maintained control of the entryway, leaving the cells, hallways, and holding blocks in the ruthless hands of the convicts.
