Stormwind Stockade (Classic)

The Stormwind Stockade is a fortified underground prison beneath the canal district of Stormwind City. Originally built to contain petty criminals, violent mercenaries, and political subversives, it has recently plunged into chaos following a violent inmate revolt.

Tucked away off the canals between Old Town and the Mage Quarter, the Stockade serves as the primary penal facility of the Kingdom of Stormwind. Presided over by Warden Thelwater, the subterranean complex houses an assortment of the realm's most dangerous malefactors: cutthroats of the Defias Brotherhood, a marauding Blackrock orc, an ogre, and even an infiltrating Dark Iron dwarf. Recently, a coordinated prison riot orchestrated by the cunning felon Bazil Thredd overwhelmed the garrison, driving out surviving guards and leaving the convicts in full control of the interior halls.
