Arthas Menethil
Once the golden prince of Lordaeron and a celebrated paladin of the Silver Hand, Arthas Menethil fell from grace during the Third War while pursuing the demonic orchestrators of the plague. After claiming the cursed runeblade Frostmourne in the frozen north, he surrendered his soul, murdered his father King Terenas, and spearheaded the destruction of his own homeland as the Scourge's dark champion.
The Golden Prince
Born to King Terenas Menethil II, Arthas was raised to embody the ideals of the Alliance of Lordaeron. Trained in combat by Muradin Bronzebeard and inducted into the Order of the Silver Hand under the tutelage of Uther the Lightbringer, he was revered by high and low alike as the future of humanity. Bold, skilled, and fiercely protective of his people, he fought tenaciously against Blackrock clan orc incursions and forest troll warbands. Yet beneath his radiant exterior lay an uncompromising pride and an obsessive dread of failure.
