Brightwater Lake

The story

Brightwater Lake is the largest body of water in Tirisfal Glades, stretching across the mist-shrouded lowlands northeast of Brill. Once a tranquil retreat for the kingdom of Lordaeron, its waters now lie cold and dark, surrounding a central isle where an outcast necromancer conducts his forbidden research.

Spanning the northern plains between the town of Brill and the Scarlet Watch Post, Brightwater Lake is a quiet and eerie landmark in the heart of Tirisfal. Thousands of years ago, its misty banks bore witness to ancient conflicts, including early clashes against the dreadlord Kathra'natir. In the peaceful centuries that followed under the Kingdom of Lordaeron, the lake served as a scenic country haven. Today, like the rest of the glades, its pristine character is long gone. The Plaguelands lie not far to the east, and the murky, chilled waters reflect only grey skies, withered trees, and the constant threat of roving murlocs and hostile undead.
