The Lich's Spellbook
The Lich's Spellbook is a volume of necromantic lore kept within a chest on the island in Brightwater Lake. Recovered for Bethor Iceshard in the Undercity, the tome reveals the true identity and immense magical power of a reclusive undead lich dwelling just north of the Forsaken capital.
A Reclusive Master's Tomes
On an isolated island in Brightwater Lake stands an enigmatic lich surrounded by skeletal guardians. Though free-willed, this sorcerer distrusts the outside world, mistaking all other undead for thralls of the Scourge and ordering his minions to destroy any who approach. Bethor Iceshard, seeking gifted necromancers to bolster the Forsaken ranks beneath Queen Sylvanas Windrunner, tasked an emissary with infiltrating the island camp to retrieve the lich's spellbook. Through its study, Bethor hoped to discern the master's magical aptitude and uncover who he was before death took Lordaeron.
