Stillwater Pond
The story
Stillwater Pond is a quiet, stagnant body of water resting just west of Brill in Tirisfal Glades. Once a beloved picnic and swimming spot for the living children of Lordaeron, it has decayed into a murky pool inhabited by skeletal fish and prowled by dangerous scavengers.
Before the Third War and the ravages of the Plague of Undeath, Stillwater Pond served as a tranquil retreat for the folk of Tirisfal Glades. Families from nearby hamlets gathered on its grassy banks for afternoon picnics, and children too young to brave the treacherous depths of Brightwater Lake learned to swim in its shallows. Today, the idyllic waters have turned lifeless and gray. The living have long vanished, leaving only skeletal fish darting beneath the surface and wandering undead drifting through the surrounding woods.
