Vial of Phlogiston

Phlogiston is an intensely volatile, fire-bearing substance prized in esoteric metallurgy. Both the dwarven smith Furen Longbeard in Stormwind and the near-blind orc armorer Thun'grim Firegaze in the Barrens consider it an indispensable component for hardening warrior armor beyond ordinary physical limits. Without this alchemical agent, the specialized forging techniques required for Fire Hardened Mail or the Horde's Brutal Armor cannot be completed.

Obtaining a Vial of Phlogiston requires venturing into the tangled thickets of Razorfen Kraul, located at the southern tip of the Barrens. The phlogiston is held deep within the bristling redoubt by the geomancer Roogug. Whether recovered for Furen in Stormwind or carried across the dust to Thun'grim's anvil, the substance demands a perilous descent into hostile quilboar territory.
