Razorfen
Razorfen is the collective name associated with the predominant quilboar tribe of southern Kalimdor and their sprawling thorn-choked settlements. Carved into massive briars along the southern border of the Barrens and the edge of Thousand Needles, Razorfen encompasses the strongholds of Razorfen Kraul and Razorfen Downs. It serves as both the spiritual heart and the central bastion of quilboar power.
The Thorns of Agamaggan
According to legend, the colossal thorned brambles that make up the Razorfen sprouted ten thousand years ago during the War of the Ancients. When the giant boar Ancient, Agamaggan, fell in battle against the Burning Legion, his blood seeped into the earth wherever he bled and died. From that divine sacrifice grew massive vines of petrified bramble and iron-hard thorns, creating a natural fortress where his descendants, the quilboar, have dwelled ever since.
The Razorfen Tribe
The Razorfen tribe is among the most aggressive and entrenched of all quilboar populations. Rather than scattering into open warrens, they built complex labyrinthine communities directly within the colossal briars. From these fortresses, the tribe fiercely defends their ancestral territory against neighboring tauren tribes, Horde settlements in the Barrens, and any outsiders daring to trespass into their holy grounds.
