Razorfen Downs (Classic)

Razorfen Downs is the ancestral burial ground and traditional capital city of the quilboar, nestled deep within giant thorny brambles in the southern Barrens. Recently, agents of the undead Scourge led by the lich Amnennar the Coldbringer seized control of the labyrinth, reanimating the quilboar dead and threatening to expand their dominion across central Kalimdor.

Grown from the same towering, petrified vines as nearby Razorfen Kraul, Razorfen Downs rests where the ancient boar demigod Agamaggan fell during the War of the Ancients. For generations, the labyrinth of thorns served as the sacred necropolis and seat of power for the quilboar, guarded closely by the mystics of the Death's Head tribe. To the quilboar, the dense briars are holy ground, soaked in the blood of their divine progenitor.
