Cathedral of Light

The Cathedral of Light is the spiritual heart of Stormwind City and the primary sanctuary of the Church of the Holy Light. Standing tall over Cathedral Square, it serves as the central bastion for human priesthood and the Knights of the Silver Hand.

Rebuilt after its devastation during the First War under the guidance of Archbishop Alonsus Faol and then-Bishop Benedictus, the Cathedral of Light stands as a towering beacon of resilience. Its vast halls and subterranean catacombs sheltered desperate refugees during the darkest hours of Stormwind's reconstruction. With the fall of Lordaeron to the Scourge during the Third War, the seat of the Church shifted south to Stormwind. Today, Archbishop Benedictus shepherds the faithful from this grand hall, providing spiritual guidance to the entire Alliance.
